Lagos State government has said that it will henceforth restrict all unregistered vehicles plying Lagos roads in line with Section 16 and 196 of the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law (TSRL) 2018 to further stimulate the safety and protection of life and property in the state.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Abdulhafiz Toriola, who disclosed this in a statement, yesterday, said the move became necessary to checkmate the activities of some criminal elements that had devised various operational strategies to attack unsuspecting members of the public, thereby making it difficult for law enforcement agencies to track or trace such incidence.

Toriola further said that the law enforcement agencies would soon commence immediate impoundment of such unregistered vehicles in a bid to promote safety and security of life and property, as well as restore sanity on Lagos roads.
He, therefore, urged motorists who have been defiant to the state traffic law to make amends by registering their vehicles under relevant agencies.
