Lekki estates residents and stakeholders within Lekki estates have contributed and donated the sum of one million naira to the deceased family of late LASTMA official, Jamiu Issa.
The residents who came under the aegis of Lekki Estate Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA), an Association of over 100 Lekki estates and communities , paid condolence visit to the late officer’s family on Tuesday, 3rd May and described the sudden death of Jamiu Issa as unfortunate.
A press release signed by Mr Gbemi Adelekan , Secretary General of LERSA who also led a delegation for condolence visit, extolled late Jamiu Issa as a hard working and dedicated man, who was inspiration to other officers and carried out his role as a traffic officer in Lekki in an excellent manner.

According to the release, LERSA delegation noted that late Jamiu Issa will be remembered by members of the association and the commuting Lekki community especially the lekki estate residents.
LERSA also pledged to support and assist the widow of the late officer and the 3 children he left behind.
“Our thoughts and sympathy are with the entire family at this grieving period, while we pray for his soul to continue to rest in perfect peace. May the Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul firdaus and also give the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Please accept our most heartfelt condolences”.
It can be recalled that the late LASTMA official, Jamiu Issa was knocked down and killed by a traffic offender on Lekki expressway, around the Chevron side.
