The Lagos State Government has announced the appointment of Engr. Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins as new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, on Wednesday.
This is coming barely 24 hours after the immediate past commissioner, Idris salako, tendered his resignation due to the collapse of the seven storey building on Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru Road, Oniru Estate, Victoria Island, which led to the death of six persons.

Until his appointment, Bamgbose, whose appointment was announced by the Lagos State commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, was the Commissioner for Special Duties.
