Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has emerged winner of the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, 18th March,2023.

The INEC Returning Officer for Lagos State, Mrs Adenike Ayodeji, while declaring the winner said, Sanwo-Olu polled a total of 762134, votes to defeat his closest rival, Labour Partys Rhodes-Vivour who scored 312,329 votes and Dr. Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP who polled 62,449 votes respectively.
Sanwo-Olu won 19 local Governments out of 20 while Gbadebor won only one local government.
