ASUU Strike: We won’t sign an agreement we won’t implement – FG

The Federal government said it has done everything possible to end the end the ASUU strike but won’t repeat past mistake of accepting to sign an agreement it won’t be able to implement.

Stating this, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu at a meeting with Pro-chancellors and vice-chancellors of federal universities at the National universities commission (NUC), Abuja.

He said that all they have been doing has being according to the directive of the President.

The union warned that government’s refusal to pay for the strike would hurt students more and also be disruptive of public universities which government’s insensitivity has put in an avoidable crisis.

Meanwhile as the current ASUU strike lingers, children of Nigeria politicians are daily graduating in foreign universities with pictures of such feat splashed over the internet.
