Drawing his message from Galatians 2:20, the pastor said God knew if people bear the guilt of their sin, they will be crushed, reason he noted, God sent His son to bear the sins for the world. Pastor Kumuyi averred that Christ’s sacrifice was not only for the Jews but also for the Gentiles.

“The crucifixion of Christ did not come as a shock to heaven, it did not come as a surprise to Christ Himself, it was not an afterthought but already known to heaven from the very beginning. It was clearly stated in Genesis 3:15.

“Why will a righteous and perfect man be crucified for the sinful and unrighteous? The suffering, striking, affliction, judgment which should have come upon us came upon Him. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.

“He took away our sin with attendant sorrow, sickness, suffering and eternal punishment. All these He took away by His death. He made the sacrifice for everyone, therefore, you can come to Him if you are weighed down by the guilt of sin.”
